The debate that went down last week between Biden and Trump showed the rot at the heart—and at the head—of this system. The mad-dog fascist Trump blamed every single problem of this system on one of its most oppressed and persecuted groups: the immigrants who have been forced to risk life and limb to come to this country.
That’s what Hitler did. He turned people’s anger away from the system that caused their many problems and turned it against people who had nothing to do with the problems but who were “different” and looked down on. Like Hitler, Trump acts like a bully, liar and braggart. And like Hitler, he will bring in an even worse nightmare than what we have now if he is able to claw his way back to power.
Then there was Biden, acting like someone trying out for a zombie movie. Except when it came to war, soldiers and patriotism, that is: then this decrepit zombie changed into an angry vampire out for blood. Because waging, threatening and supporting war to defend this parasitic empire is what he lives for—and what the system he rules requires.
Whatever happens now—whether the Democrats try to get rid of Biden and run someone else for president, or not—a deep truth has been shown to millions: This system has no answers! No answers to the burning Earth that the capitalist-imperialist system has polluted and abused in its mania for profit. No answers to the wars they are waging—including the genocide in Gaza they are backing—and the even worse wars they are preparing to wage. No answers to the racism that still infests every corner of this system. No answers to the vicious attacks now hammering down on women and on LGBTQ people. No answers to the worldwide devastation caused by their system that forces people to risk their lives to immigrate and seek survival.
So what do we do?
Bob Avakian, the most important thinker and leader on the planet today, has said this:
We can no longer afford to allow these imperialists to continue to dominate the world and determine the destiny of humanity. And it is a scientific fact that humanity does not have to live this way.

1. The hatred on stage between Biden and Trump was real and represents something deeper—a bitter fight between two sections of the powers that be over HOW to keep this bloody empire on top. Bob Avakian has said that:
Everything will very likely be coming to a head and coming up for grabs this year, 2024, with the presidential election this year a sharp focus of the fight between the dominating ruling class parties—Democrats and Republicans—a fight that is very likely to break all out of the bounds of the “normal way” they exercise power over the people, and keep their whole murderous system going.
